Daesh Claims Bomb Blast in Afghan Capital

IQNA – The Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group said it was behind a bomb blast in a  western Kabul neighborhood.

A bomb blast in the Afghan capital of Kabul

 

The explosion went off in Dasht Barchi District of Kabul on Sunday, killing one person and wounding 11 others. 

According to Khaled Zadran, a spokesman for the Kabul Security Command, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on a motorcycle exploded in the Dasht Barchi area.

He said security forces were immediately sent to the area and began an investigation.

Daesh later issued a statement, claiming responsibility for the terrorist incident, Ava news agency reported.

Nearly a month ago, Daesh had also claimed responsibility for another bomb blast in the Afghan capital city.
